Papa's Birthday

So today is my Papa's birthday.
It has been 12 years since he passed but I feel him with me when i need him most. He is the most amazing man I know. So loving and care about everyone. He lived in Lake Havasu City so we didn't get to see him as often as we would have liked.
I remember my wedding day when I was being sealed and I felt that he was watching me and so proud of the woman I have become and the man I married. Today was especially emotional and i realized it is because today it so special.
His death was not the easiest. He had cancer and it took a toll on him and his health. The last time I saw him he was bed ridden and I remember being a little girl and saying good bye to him and going into the guest room and bawling my eyes out. I miss him everyday. I wish he could see my kids grow up but I know he is in Heaven with them telling them to be nice to me :)
This is my Papa's grave-site. My mom and sister were able to be there but hopefully when I go home for Christmas I will take Morgan there. It is in a beautiful place.
I miss you Papa. I will see you someday.

I've been thinking

I've been in one of those moods where you just think about everything. Ever been in one of those moods.
Things I've been thinking about:
Future
Where we are going to live
Babies
Anything baby related like rooms, clothes, etc. (Don't worry no babies soon)
My family
you know those everyday things you think of.
I have decided I need to start a journal, well many journals. I want to have a journal for everyone of my kids. Starting from the time I found out I am pregnant to the time they leave. My goal is to write something in it every night, whether it is a few pages or not. I wish my mom would have done something like that. When you are little and you say those funny things you ask about when you are older are so cute I wish I had something to remind me how cute I was :)
I also want to write a journal for myself. I have been going through a lot in the past few years with my parents divorce and getting married. It's a lot to take in. I just need somewhere to put down my thoughts and forget them. And once I am older my grandkids/great-grandkids will read it and love hearing that their grandma went through the same exact things.
I say an amazing quote yesterday and it reminded me of my mom. It says "People cry, not because they are weak. They cry because they have been strong for too long."
Some food for thought there.
Peace and Blessings

Comic Con!!!

So I spent this last week in San Diego working at the restaurant for comic con and let me tell you how crazy it was. First of all I had to work doubles all week. And there were very interesting people to say the least. Since I was working all the time I didn't take any pictures but on Friday my mom and Grandma came down for the weekend and between shifts we got to hang out. We went to the U.S. Open Competition of Sandcastles and it was amazing!!! Before we went there we ate breakfast at this amazing diner on Coronado Island. It's called Clayton's. It's on Orange and 10th, right across from Panera Bread. So if you are vacationing down there go to this place. After breakfast we went straight to Imperial Beach for the competition. It was a really cool events. Hundreds of vendors and the beach. Me and my mom bought hats with came in handy because it got really sunny and she bought me two dresses for mine and Morgan's vacation in November to Hawaii. Which I am so excited for!!! But the weather was perfect. When we got there it was a little overcast and that is when we were walking around looking at the castles being built and then around 12 is when the sun came out and we just laid out and enjoyed people watching. Well here are some pictures of my week. 'Til next time!!!

Megan's Bridal Shower

This was such a fun shower. Totally relaxing. WE had some of the best food we have ever had at a shower and if you know my family we have had about 4 in the past year. I am so excited to have Megan be a part of my family. Not only will I gain another sister but I consider her niece and nephew mine too. They are the cutest kids. (Side note, all my nieces and nephews are cute). I was in charge of taking pictures at the shower and naturally I took more pictures of the Steven (my nephew) and Jayden (Megan's niece).  Here are the pictures from the shower.

This is the dessert station... custard, cupcakes, and chocolate covered strawberries

We are the CHAMPIONS!!!

We have the most amazing family ever!!! We went to San Francisco this past weekend and got to see the Giants open up the season and get their WOLRD CHAMPION rings. And it was amazing!!!!!!! I went up Friday morning and went to the game Friday with Morgan's family. It was such an exhausting day. First, I had to catch my flight at 6 AM. Once I got to San Fran had a first. I took a subway!!! I wish I would have taken pictures of some of the people on it. It was very entertaining. Well Morgan's parents weren't there yet so I hung out in my sister-in-law's room so that meant I didn't get to sleep. Then the game!!!! It was ridiculous!!!! So many people and it went to 12 innings. And if you know baseball that is like a 4 and a half game. So that meant I didn't get to nap before dinner. Once we got back to the hotel I only had 10 minutes to get ready and rest. Once everyone was downstairs we tried to find the restaurant where we had reservations, but not before the little boys (including Zach) got Brandon Belts autograph. It took us an hour to get to the restaurant when it was less than a mile away. Again another first for me... riding on the Trolley and public bus. And having 4 kids with us made it that much more interesting. Dinner was great and everyone enjoyed themselves and were very very full.
After a wonderful night of rest I was ready for the next days adventure. We went to this wonderful burger place. I wish I remembered the name but sitting by us was the one and only Dot Jones!!! If you don't know who she is, look her up. Than cruised around for awhile until finally Morgan got there. Then off to the game. This night was the night no Giant fan will forget. The team received their rings. It was wonderful. That about sums up our trip. Morgan didn't get to experience all the fun but we are glad he was able to be there.
I made these opening day but they fit in here

Season Opener!!!

So baseball season has officially begun. It began for us on Sunday with the annual fantasy baseball draft. We are so excited about this season. Both of us enjoy baseball so it is something we can do together. I am excited because my brother, Kent, is doing really well in the minor league with the A's and we will possibly be able to see him play. The last two seasons I haven't been able to see any games because of school. Morgan is excited because last year his team, the GIANTS, won the World Series and this year they have a chance to win again. We get the opportunity to see the Giants  play multiple times this year. We get to see them open with the Padres on Tuesday then that next weekend we get to go to San Francisco with the whole family to see their ring ceremony and season opener.

The pictures are of halloween but I thought they were perfect for this post. We went to Disneyland for Halloween this year with Morgan's whole family and it was during the World Series so Morgan decided to dress up as non other than The Mental Assassin, Brian Wilson. I didn't even recognize him. He was walking down the hotel hallway and I had the nieces and I had the girls move to the side to get out of the way of the scary bearded man walking to his room. But to my surprise it was Morgan. All night at Disneyland people were yelling, "Fear the beard" or just laughing as they walked by. It was hilarious and a great idea.

Have a wonderful Opening Day everyone!!! Go Giants!!!

The Beginning of Forever

So me and Morgan met in December of 2009, on New Years' Eve Morgan surprised me and came to Provo early from break to be with me that night. From then on we were together. Morgan proposed to me on August 8, 2010. It was hard to plan a wedding because Morgan was in San Diego starting Law School and I was trying to finish my school. So until October when I was done with school I was not planning a wedding. But once we started it was all smooth sailing. My mom and I kept asking each other if we were missing something. It went that smooth. On December 17, 2010 Morgan and I were married in the Las Vegas Temple. It was the best day of my life!!!

Coming out of the temple

All of our nieces and nephews

We are so grateful for everyone that came. We had people from Utah, California, Arizona, and even Texas!!!

These two are probably my favorite of Morgan's family

My mom created this candy bar for our wedding and it was a HUGE hit!!!

Kathy Horspool was our florist and traveled to Vegas from California. I gave her a few ideas of what I wanted and then let her have free reign over everything and be creative and she did a GREAT job!!! It fit the feel of our wedding and both our personalities.

Wedding party!
